Greetings Atlanta Family,

My name is Colby Boyce and I am honored and privileged to serve as the new
Principal of Atlanta Middle School.

I began my journey as a student of Atlanta and Queen City High School, then I
attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello (where I earned my Bachelor’s degree
in Physical Education and a minor in History). During my early teaching career, I earned
a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M at Texarkana. After
several years of teaching, I earned a second Master’s degree in Education
Administration. I’m enter my 12th year in education and for the past five years, I served
as an Assistant Principal at Texas Middle School where I gained a wealth of knowledge
and experience.

I am excited to begin a new chapter in my career with the Atlanta Independent
School District. I look forward to building new relationships with staff, students, families
and community members. My goal as Principal of Atlanta Middle School is to guide and
support our staff and students to reach their highest potentials, in a safe and nurturing
environment.
